Material Attention is a facilitated, in-person session centered on working slowly with simple materials. These sessions are not technique-based and do not focus on producing finished work. Instead, they invite sustained attention through touch, repetition, and time.

About the Facilitation

Sessions are guided by the artist and educator, with an emphasis on holding time, materials, and attention rather than instruction or critique.

  • Location: in-person; typically held in public or shared spaces. Outdoor settings such as parks or beaches are welcomed when appropriate.

  • Group size: small groups preferred; larger groups considered by context
